I had to try some more new foods because ever since I started exploring...... I love it!
Trip #3 to the international food market
I felt honestly overwhelmed with choices especially since I was unprepared I didn't know which direction to go in..... (note to self: going to the market after work with no plans does not prove fruitfull)
I went to the wine section because it seems I cannot go wrong there.... and I found a german wine that looked really good so I thought I would start there.
I go to the German food aisle and was completely confused.
The wine I got is called "Leonard Kreusch Liebfraumilch Rheinhessen" an imported white German wine which is frickin delicious! (I have decided that American wine has nothing on these imported wines!) I also of course got german chocolate "E.Wedel" in milk chocolate and also raspberry (YUM!), and a german treat that when I bought it I had no clue what it was.... it ended up being a marshmellowy chocolate covered treat on top of a thin wafer crisp... those were scrumptious. But.... the entire trip was not a success.... I was trying to get an authentic feel for German food so I got a can of fried herring in a spicy marinade..... hmmm.... not sure where I was going with that but it sounded like something I've deffinetly not tried before. So we open the can and decide to put it on some bread and we picked some up and there was tons of little bones inside of it!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I had one bite (which actually tasted pretty good) but I just couldn't handle the fact that there was bones in it! So we threw the rest away and left that one to try another day... bone free :-)
Tonight was another beautiful night.... watchin "nick and norah's infinite playlist" with my hubby, tryin something new... interesting,... but new.
"Bis zum nächsten Mal..."
