"Γειά" (hello in Greek)
Okay so treat #3 from the last International Food Market trip..... Candy Nuts bars!
There are two different kinds.... Soft Nougat with Almonds and Almond bar.
The first one is interesting.... is has a chewy nougat with almonds in it and it has a plain flavored wafer on each side of the bar... the texture at first is like a chewy cardboard box but once you actually chew it and get all the flovors together it's pretty good...
The second one is like almonds covered in crunchy toffee like candy which is really good!
I deffinetly like the second one more but the first one is good too :-) Neil liked them too!
συγχαρητήρια για μένα! (congratulations to me!)
see you tomorrow.... maybe... music?
bye bye!

Pocky from Japan
"こんにちは" (hello in Japanese)
I found these on that trip that I told you about when I got a few things... So here goes another tasty treat!
Pocky chocolate crush is a "おいしい" (delicious) snack that is like a long thin cookie dipped in chocolate and rolled in almond pieces.
They are so good! and have an excellent aftertaste!
Everyone needs to go and get a pack of pocky right now!
YUM!

Mexican cookies are awesome!
I'm back!
Okay so while I was at the International Food Market yesterday I picked up a few more things that I could try for the next couple days! One of those things is the wonderful Mexican cookie called "Florentinas" which is a soft cookie filled with like a... caramel inside. It is a soft slightly gooey DELICIOUS treat!
Neil and I both agree it was a great snack to nibble on while watching one of our fave's "Waiting" for the millionth time! (STILL a kick-butt movie! )
YAY to another thing tried!

Product de Argentina
Hola!
Tonight I went to the International Food Market..... AGAIN and got a wine froma country I don't think I've ever had anything from.... Argentina!
It's an imported white wine "Callia Alta 2008 Torrantes".
It was pretty good.... at first is seemed a little sour but if you take a few more sips it has a good after taste. I drank it by itself so I'm not sure what it would have tasted like with an entree.
It was good, not the favorite since starting this adventure but still good!
Lots more to try!
Adios!

Sangria!
Tonight I planned to make tacos for Neil, our neighbor Ryan, and myself. So I went to...... (drumrole......) The International Food Market! :-) I got various ingredients for the tacos but the focus of this experience is the wine... Vittore SANGRIA! Yummy yummy yummy! It tasted like juice but with a 7% alcohol! So fruity and full of flavor and in no time at all I felt the fun buzz of the deliciousness called sangria.
This was definetly a good experience! I would love to learn how to make an authentic Mexican dish to go along with it next time!
We'll see.....
